How to Build Trust With Your Clients

In this post, Jon Gagnon tells about his experiences with Kinotek. Jon is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, owner of Hybrid Health & Performance in Bangor, Maine, and is a Kinesiology Lecturer at the University of Maine.

He’s been using Kinotek for almost two years, and has been and advisor to the Kinotek team to help us design the platform to meet the needs of professionals and business owners like Jon.

“If You’re Not Assessing, You’re Just Guessing”

This is one of Jon’s favorite quotes that says a lot about why he’s so enthusiastic about always performing a baseline assessment, and using an objective, repeatable system.

Here are a few highlights Jon talks about in this interview about why he does a baseline assessment on EVERY client, and why he uses Kinotek:

  • Why Always A Baseline Assessment. “The assessment is where you build that trust with the client, especially when you reassess them, you get them to buy in a little bit more. You get them engaged in their training. You get them to really relax and have confidence that you are going to be able to take them towards their goal.

Client Impact. “It’s just giving way more clarity and providing a lot more feedback” than if you just use your eyes and try to explain verbally what’s going on.

  • Efficiency Impact. “It cuts down so much on wasted time, walking around the client and trying to write everything down.” Plus, Jon has told us that Kinotek organizes his assessments for him, and gives him a built in reference and replay when he goes back to create programming for each client. “I can’t remember everything.”

The Bottom Line Impact

“Kinotek has allowed us to increase our membership prices to the point where [they’ve] paid for the system three times over. It’s a win-win because you’re making extra money plus minimizing the amount of time you’re doing on assessments.”

“Kinotek has definitely allowed us to grow over these past two year.”
